Southern soul legend Johnny Rawls, born in Mississippi in 1951, has just released his twentieth studio album called "I Miss Otis Clay." Johnny and Otis were good friends and great partners both live and in the studio recording, the two albums they signed together are a delight of composition and interpretation, being essential for the soul-blues recordings of the last twenty years. Now, Rawls gets honest with fans and has recorded his particular tribute to the late mate, an intense collection of songs in which he's shown as one of the best guitarists, singers and soul songwriter of the last decades. The man who was a guitarist in the OV Wright band for ten years and shared stages with Joe Tex and ZZ Hill, is still a survivor of the best and most genuine soul-blues style that has ever endured.
