Still a young teenager, born in General Rodriguez, a city adjacent to the capital Buenos Aires, the fifteen-year-old argentine Joaquin Casas plays the blues guitar out of all logic. Disciple of the argentine blues guitar maestro Botafogo, he went through his band as a prodigy before somebody proposed him to record a first album by his own, a temptation fulfilled with this "El Ataque del Caiman", a first start in which he unveils himself irreverently shameless with anyone who underestimates his potential as a guitarist. Still with insufficient vocal power at his age, this young man has unquestionable authority with the six strings and dares with great sufficiency with the breaks of Albert King or the rudimentary beat of Howlin 'Wolf, showing his skill and feeling with the twelve bars. I don't know if the future will compensate Joaquin Casas, but this first step should be a springboard for his musical creativity and validity.
