A blues musician in the European avant-garde. With his fingers on the piano, the Ligurna (Italy) born Henry Carpaneto has the necessary versatility that allows him to surf the top of the waves of black music. Blues musician, he recognizes in each note the opportunity to appeal to other styles such as jazz, funk rhythms, soul music and sober rock'n'roll, without the need to resort to any deja-vu help resource. In each of his approaches, he overflows with intensity and loyalty any preconceived clixe that a European blues musician may be the object of, becoming with only two published albums a benchmark as a pianist not only in Italy and Europe but also appreciated by any blues fan in the world. This second album "Pianissimo", leaves no doubt of the musical level that Carpaneto can reach, supported if necessary by names like TC Coleman (with whom he co-produces the album), Waldo Weathers or the recently deceased Lucky Peterson, putting this album and who leads it in a prominent place in the blues scene around the world. Nine originals and three covers that, believe me, there is no current right hand who can compare.
