This is not a soul vocalist blessed by the wind grace, nor a musician who will win a Grammy this year. Gerald Mcclendon is a soul man. He sings as if life were in every note, as if in every moment the story was the last one able to telling. Born in Chicago, Mcclendon is a veteran of the circuit, having performed over a thousand performances but with only four albums released, he has wowed fans from his depth performances as well as his orthodoxy in dealing with soul music. Not only Otis Redding or Marvin Gaye set up their packed backround, but also old blues shouthers like Bobby Bland or Jimmy Witherspoon who broaden his vocal register spectrum. Recorded in Chicago with local musicians well known to fans, "Can't Nobody Stop Me Now" is a major work to discover and give it a great and long travel to the "Soulkeeper".
