This is a historical recording. Two of the blues music revivalists in the early 1960s, Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite together more than fifty years after "Stand Back! Here Comes Charley Musselwhite's Southside Band" (1966) and "The Paul Butterfield Blues Band" (1965) were released. Both are in an amazing state of form, the vocals parts are shared, they are clothed by the incombustible Joe Walsh on guitar and the omnipresent Kid Andersen on bass, joining forces to form a dream team yearned for by any blues aficionado. Twelve generous songs with originals and some classic covers, in twelve bars faithful to the most traditional way of interpreting the blues. Exceptional.
