Gregg Copeland, born in Portsmouth (VA) in 1954 and currently based in Hamelin (Germany), is an extraordinary soul and rhythm & blues singer who has spent much of his career in Europe. He has led several musical projects both with his different bands and in acoustic formats, Copeland has impregnated all of them with his suggestive voice, filtered from the knowledge that he treasures as a singer hardened over time. He learned alongside bluesman like Big Daddy Wilson and his vocal strength does not leave you immune to his charm. From his relationship with the terrific guitarist from Sheffield (UK) Chris Wragg, last year was released the fantastic album "Deep In The Blood" and now they have just released the live recording "Live In The Backroom", a delicious compilation of blues classics in which Wragg's guitar next to his prodigious voice puts each of the songs they revisit in a high prominence place. A stop along the way to regain your spirits.
