What does the epithet "Delta Blues" mean for blues music? Listen to Bukka White. Booker T. Washington (Aberdeen MS, 1907 - Memphis TN, 1977) one of the most transcendental of the Afro-American  musicians, sliding a National guitar, guttural and deep voice, "Shake 'Em On Down" recorded by John Lomax along his stay in the Parcharm Farm penitentiary in 1937, a man born bluesman that history has located him in the place he deserves after leaving behind him an indispensable influence, decisive  in pioneers of pop music such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison or Neil Young among many others. It's Delta Blues in purest form.
