Pianist, songwriter, arranger, singer, Anthony Geraci, New Haven born in 1954, has been nominated thirteen times - between 2016 and 2020 - at the Blues Music Awards, and has not won any of the nominations. It's difficult to understand for a figure so relevant to the blues music of the last three decades. He started as a professional in the late 80s and since then his reputation has been growing with each step he has taken. He has played his piano for a significant number of great figures of the genre and has been an essential part in seminal bands like Sugar Ray & The Blue Tones and Ronnie Earl's Broadcasters, appearing in the credits of more than forty albums so far, while by his own he has recorded eight essential albums. All this has meant that Geraci is today the pianist most requested and respected by the blues family anywhere. "Daydreams In Blue" is his last album to date and it should be one more chance not to miss the opportunity to recognize his talent and dedication to blues music that he undoubtedly deserves for a long time. This album is a delight to savor note after note.
