Music that's impossible to float in a trouble water lake. Far from easy listening, the songs of the Irish Rufus Coates and Jess Smith require slow digestion. Deep and with a high commitment, almost innocently, tell true stories and human reflections from the most respectful shyness of a simple storytellers. The greens of thir Irish origins are present but darkened by shadows from the tormented blues and the urban harshness of a big city like Berlin, their stay city. It's traditional folk music that tries to kiss modernity with a bit of rawness and introspective reality, a very accurate photograph of the world around us through a warm and adult album.
