"Guitar Livin' Man" (2020)

Veterans with an infinite background behind them, Canadians Wayne Nicholson (singer) and John    Campbelljohn (guitarist) have once again put the pharaoh on his pedestal. Elmore James, the essential slide guitar guide, has been updated in his essence and significance for the postwar Chicago blues, revisited by two musicians who know his legacy as intimately as respectfully. The result goes further than the always deserved tribute to an icon like Elmore James, it transcends until obtaining an album full of classics that reach the listener new, illuminated and convincing. Good music only needs good musicians - like the lineup for this album - to be enjoyed, and "Elmore's Blues" is the best example.
