Little Village Foundation continues to provide its catalog with incontestable musical works. Born in New Jersey in 1949 and established in Pittsburg, Billy Price occupies a privileged place among singers of his generation. His beginnings in the mid-seventies with Roy Buchanan, with whom he toured and recorded two albums, marked a starting point that was not only electrifying, but also set a course for his musical career that has taken him to the top of the soul-blues scene of the last decades. He formed his first band, Keystone Rhythm Band, in 1979 and during the ten years they were active released four albums and they were the prelude to an era in which, starting in 1990, The Billy Price Band laid the foundations for contemporary soul-blues. . His main virtue has always been the diversity and consistency of his voice, it admits tonalities and registers that are as homogeneous as they are polyharmonic while  his vocal power manages the tempos of each song millimetrically to the each one needs. A list of prominent musicians have come into the band over the years, all of them drawn from the cream of soul music, and in 2015 he recorded the masterpiece "This Time For Real" with southern soul legend Otis Clay for which he won the Soul Blues Album category at the 2016 edition of the BMAs, in which he has been nominated three other times. Along with other singers of his generation such as Johnny Rawls, Floyd Miles, Bobby King, Daryl Nulisch or LLoyd Jones, Price has kept the genre alive and in good health in a transition that Curtis Salgado or John Nemeth among others have subsequently taken over. This album is not a culmination but a further step for this gentleman of blues soul.
