Angela Strehli was definitely one of the key blues musical figures in the city of Austin early in the 1970s, and one of the essential blues female singers in Texas. Despite not being extensive, her record production includes the best moments of a female singer in the southern state with the longest border line with Mexico. Throughout her career she was always close to the most important Texan electric blues musicians of the last third of the 20th century, such as Jimmie Vaughan and the Thunderbirs, his brother Stevie, Kim Wilson (born in Detroit), WC Clark, Lou Ann Barton, Denny Freeman (born in Orlando), Omar Dykes and many others who drew a style that was as recognizable as impressive

inherited from the precursors Albert Collins and Johnny Copeland or the pioneers T-Bone Walker or Lightnin' Hopkins. It's Texas blues, it's the most fierce and definitive blues. Strehli has returned with an impressive album, eleven versions and one original in tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan recorded in 2005 (SRV), a collection of songs of authentic luxury that have surprised by their unexpected appearance but not by the voice of a woman from the that we already knew her expressiveness, strength and complete exuberance.
