After settling in Argentina and the United States and finally relocated to Amsterdam in 2013, Alex Rossi, born in Blumenau (Brazil) in 1974, is a renowned harmonica player known throughout the blues circuit in South America. His professionalism with the instrument is conditioned by the extreme versatility and breadth of registers, framed by the subtlety of an introspective look through the jazz musicality of his personal technique, a lyric impregnated of delicacy and the universal language of Little Walter. He released his first album "Let Me In" in 2007, with Phil Guy on guitar, classic Chicago blues by Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and Jimmy Reed, but also included the jazz of Duke Ellington who already sensed Rossi's intentions. In 2013 he paid tribute to the legend of Brazilian music Alberto Carlos Jobim in the album "Plays Tom Jobin" and in 2016 he participated among other prominent harmonica players in the album "We Do It Love", a tribute to the great harmonica master Toots Thielemans. Alex Rossi's solid musical career takes a step further with the release of his fifth solo album "Buenos Aires Sessions", recorded in the legendary ION studios in the Argentine capital, jazz-funk flies over each of the six songs while the blues infuses each chord with a sonority recovered from the recordings of the sixties when music was important above any other condition. A beautiful album.
