Alastair Greene is an enlightened guitar hero. Touched by the grace of blues-rock legitimately inherited from the legendary fingers of Billy Gibbons, Tony Iommi, Johnny Winter or Gary Moore, this guitarist born in Santa Barbara (CA) in 1971 began his career in the late nineties founding Alastair Green Band with whom he spent twenty years and released six albums. Throughout the 2000s, he spent eight years as a guitarist and singer in the Alan Parsons' band and after that experience, in 2017, he released his first solo album. After releasing another album the following year, he became part of the Whiskey Bayou Records family, label run by Tab Benoit who, in addition to playing, produced his first effort, the acclaimed "The New World Blues," one of the best blues-rock albums in a long time. Greene is a guitarist with clean, clear and powerful chords while each of his solos is not only necessary but also concise and direct. With "Alive In The New World" we have in hands an album recorded live by a blues guitarist in a state of grace, a songwriter inspired on stage, a place where we can best taste the strength and persuasion of this guy at his best of his entire career.
